Joy Park is an art director for digital projects at the Los Angeles Times. She works across the newsroom to design and develop the paper’s most ambitious digital initiatives. Before joining The Times, she ran a freelance design and development practice, making websites for artists and collectives engaged in social justice, critical reading and art. Over the years, she taught herself to code while working as a graphic and product designer across many industries.
