Hanley Ramirez was a late scratch from the Dodgers lineup Saturday.

Ramirez has a sore left calf, according to the team.

Ramirez didn’t play the series opener against the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday, as Manager Don Mattingly said he wanted to give his 30-year-old shortstop a day off.

For the second consecutive day, Ramirez will be replaced at shortstop by Cuban rookie Erisbel Arruebarrena.

Arruebarrena, 24, made his major league debut Friday night. Not a single ball was hit to him.

Matt Kemp is also out of the lineup for the second consecutive game, with Mattingly again opting to start Andre Ethier in center field.
