Brian Wilson’s stand: Not shaving beard for $1 million or anything else

Brian Wilson's beard is apparently here to stay.

Brian Wilson, man of principle?

Kinda, sort of, maybe?

Wilson was reportedly offered at least $1 million by a razor company to shave off his infamous beard, apparently rat tail and all. That’s just a tad more than the $10,000 Joe Namath received for shaving off his mustache for a TV commercial.

But it is not happening, or that’s the word that Wilson’s representatives passed on to TMZ:

“The crew over at MVP Sports Group tells us they never took the razor company’s offer seriously because Brian refuses to even trim his trademark, and, in fact ... he’s told them the beard is ‘going with him to the grave.’”

If he refuses to even trim it, pretty soon he’s going to have to start putting it in pigtails to prevent it flying up and blocking his view of the plate.

Meanwhile, Wilson made his first appearance for the Dodgers on Thursday and struck out two in one scoreless inning. That’s beard one, everyone else zero -- including the razor company.
