Dodgers’ single-seat tickets to go on sale with four-tier pricing

Here’s a revolutionary idea: The Dodgers are making single-game tickets available to all home games this season. Not that they’ll all cost the same.

Individual tickets go on sale Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. (the same day the Dodgers’ Fanfest is scheduled to begin) at Dodger Stadium and dodgers.com.

Tickets will be available to all games, including some for the season opener, but the Dodgers will be using a new four-tier pricing program in 2013.

The opener, games against the New York Yankees on July 30 and 31, and three games against the Boston Red Sox on Aug. 23 to 25 are priced at tier four, the highest level.

Tickets for the four-star games range from $30 in the top deck to $160 for a field box seat. Tier one (17 games, mostly weekdays) ranges from $8 to $100, tier two (33 games) from $10 to $115 and tier three (26 games) from $20 to $120.

All of the Dodgers’ bobblehead nights are in the three-star category.

In the past several years, tickets to many of the more attractive games on the schedule were initially offered only as part of a mini-season ticket plan, so that’s at least good news.

Mini-plans are still available.

Single-season tickets go on sale the last day after a two-day, select-a-seat promotion for season-ticket holders. More information can be found here.
