Chad Billingsley officially scratched from Tuesday’s start vs. A’s

PHOENIX – Chad Billingsley has officially been scratched from the Dodgers’ home game against the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday.

Billingsley’s next turn in the rotation has been pushed back to Saturday, which would line him up to make his first regular-season start April 2. He will be on the same schedule as projected No. 5 starter Hyun-Jin Ryu for the remainder of the spring, meaning Ryu could make that April 2 start if Billingsley can’t.

Billingsley is recovering from a bruised finger he suffered in a recent bunting drill. Manager Don Mattingly said his conditioning is improving, but that he still has trouble throwing his curveball.

Mattingly also said Zack Greinke will pitch in a simulated or minor league game Wednesday. With Greinke returning from a sore elbow, the Dodgers want to put him in an environment they can control.

Dee Gordon has a mildly sprained ankle and is listed as day-to-day.

Here’s the lineup the Dodgers will field against the Athletics at Camelback Ranch:

Carl Crawford DH
Mark Ellis 2B
Andre Ethier RF
Yasiel Puig LF
Jerry Hairston Jr. 1B
Juan Uribe 3B
Nick Punto SS
Tim Federowicz C
Skip Schumaker CF
(Chris Capuano P)
