Dodgers’ Carl Crawford set to return to left field on Saturday

PHOENIX – Carl Crawford will start in left field for the Dodgers on Saturday night against the Chicago White Sox.

The game will be Crawford’s first in the outfield since he underwent reconstructive elbow surgery in August. General Manager Ned Colletti has said he expects Crawford to be available on opening day, April 1.

Crawford was the designated hitter on Friday in his fourth game this spring. Crawford, who was hitting .300 (three for 10) before the game, drew a walk in his first at-bat against the Cincinnati Reds.
