Behind the netminding of Frederik Andersen, the Ducks evened their best-of-seven series with the Predators with a 4-1 win at Bridgestone Arena.

Here are three keys to the Ducks’ victory Thursday night:

1. Top notch fourth line: The Ducks’ fourth line was first-rate. Jamie McGinn, Shawn Horcoff and Chris Stewart again were outstanding, with Stewart assisting on the McGinn goal late in the second period that put the Ducks ahead, 3-1.

2. Stonewall Andersen: Nashville dominated a long stretch in the second period, outshooting the Ducks, 12-1, before pulling even at 1-1. The Ducks were being too cautious but goaltender Frederik Andersen stood tall and kept them in the game until the Ducks could calm down and regain their composure.

3. Ducks fizzle Predators powe play: The Ducks’ penalty killers again got too heavy a workload, but they came through impressively. They’ve allowed the Predators to score one power-play goal in 19 chances over four games, continuing the excellence that made them the NHL’s top penalty killers during the regular season.

“We’re playing with fire. We’ve got to keep them to two or three minors a game,” Ducks Coach Bruce Boudreau said.
