Baseball: Ex-ECR outfielder Blake Gailen won’t give up

Former El Camino Real outfielder Blake Gailen is 28. He has played in independent baseball for seven years after playing for the Conquistadores and UNLV. He went undrafted out of high school and college. And he’s still playing.
He was signed by the Toronto Blue Jays earlier this week to play for the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons. Gailen was leading the Atlantic League in doubles playing for Lancaster (PA). In 2012, he was Baseball America’s independent league player of the year.
