Football: Cathedral showing signs of strong passing attack

L.A. Cathedral is showing early signs of having another strong passing attack for the coming season, having reached the championship game of the Buena Park passing tournament on Saturday, then winning a tournament at USC on Sunday.
Junior quarterback Andrew Tovar, coming off a sophomore season in which he passed for 45 touchdowns, is having good success with speedy receiver Renard Bell.
Kaylen Williams, a 6-4 senior, is also gaining attention for his receiving.
Cathedral defeated Long Beach Poly in Sunday’s semifinals.
