Update: On Tuesday, the Sparks clinched a playoff spot with a 71-63 victory over the Minnesota Lynx. Kristi Toliver led the Sparks with 29 points, and Candace Parker grabbed 11 rebounds. It was the Sparks’ first win against the Lynx this year. Given the current standings, the Sparks would play Minnesota in the first round of the playoffs next week. Friday’s game against the Storm is the last regular-season home game for the Sparks. Seattle is in last place in the Western Conference but has won its last three games.
