Update: UCLA’s starting point guard, Lazeric Jones, and freshman backup Norman Powell practiced Friday and are expected to play. Jones complained of a sore foot earlier in the week and Powell was hospitalized overnight Wednesday after suffering an allergic reaction to something he ate. Junior guard De’End Parker is expected to sit out his sixth game because of tendinitis in his knee. Penn senior guard Zack Rosen ranks fourth nationally in three-point field-goal percentage (58.5%) and is averaging 21.3 points, 12th best in the nation. The Quakers have three Southern Californians who are playing: fifth-year senior guard Tyler Bernardini from San Diego Francis Parker High; sophomore guard Miles Cartwright from Los Angeles Loyola; and freshman guard Camryn Crocker, who, playing for Los Alamitos last season, was the most valuable player in the Sunset League.
