And the survey says...

The yearly poll conducted by NBA.com’s John Schuhmann was released on Monday, having canvassed the league’s general managers and has the usual suspects at the top of the list.

Miami, favored to win the NBA Finals. LeBron James, favored to win MVP. The sun, favored to rise tomorrow.

You know the drill.

The GMs were not allowed to vote for their own team, personnel or players, and responded to a wide variety of queries.

As for the Clippers, guess what? In breaking news, Chris Paul is really, really good.

Kidding aside, the point guard was shown plenty of respect, out-polling the likes of Derrick Rose, Rajon Rondo and Tony Parker. Last year, Rose grabbed 59% of the votes for the best point guard in the NBA and this year Paul garnered 69% of the votes to Rose’s nearly 21%.

Another burning question: Which player is the best leader?

1) Paul - 28%

2) Kevin Garnett, Boston - 21%

3) Chauncey Billups, Clippers - 10%, Tim Duncan, Spurs - 10%, James, Miami - 10%, Steve Nash, Lakers - 10%.

Billups ended up receiving the most votes in another category.

Which active player will make the best head coach someday?

1. Billups - 21%

2. Shane Battier, Miami - 17%

3. Derek Fisher- 14%

4. Jason Kidd, New York and Nash - 10%

6. Grant Hill, Clippers and Paul - 7%
