NASCAR’s Jimmie Johnson, wife expecting second child
There’s one more reason why 2013 already is a year to remember for Jimmie Johnson.
The five-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion announced Tuesday on Twitter that he and his wife Chandra are expecting their second child.
“We are so happy to share news that we’re having another baby in September,” Johnson tweeted. “Genevieve is so excited to be a big sister!”
Johnson’s daughter Genevieve will be 3 in July.
The announcement came two days after Johnson won for the eighth time at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway, which again lifted the El Cajon native into the lead in the Cup title standings.
Johnson also won the season-opening Daytona 500, so he has two victories in the first six races of the year.
