AT THE PLATE: Yasiel Puig hit his first homer of the spring, a three-run shot in the seventh that lifted his average to .421 and gave him the team lead in runs with five. Puig was hitting for Matt Kemp, who was 0 for 3, striking out once, in his second appearance of the spring. Luis Cruz, who left the Dodgers after the game to join the Mexican team for the World Baseball Classic, had two hits, as did A.J. Ellis.

ON THE MOUND: Josh Beckett gave up one hit in three scoreless innings, striking out three. Seven relievers followed him to the mound, scattering four hits and giving up only an unearned run.

EXTRA BASES: With 12 hits, the Dodgers reached double digits for the sixth consecutive game and are hitting a National League-best .314 as a team.
