Records: Lakers 16-60; Clippers 48-28.

Head to head: Clippers lead season series, 2-0.

Update: The Clippers have won nine consecutive games against the Lakers, their longest stretch of success against the team that has traditionally ruled the series.

The Lakers need to win at least one of the two games between the teams over the next two days to have a chance to match last season’s 21 victories.

Their best opportunity could come Wednesday if Clippers Coach Doc Rivers decides to rest some of his starters in the second part of the back-to-back situation.
