Update: The Lakers hung with the Trail Blazers last Monday in Portland before ultimately falling, 98-94. Portland point guard Damian Lillard had 39 points on a night Kobe Bryant did not play. The Lakers struggle historically in Portland but had won 11 consecutive games against the Trail Blazers at Staples Center until going 0-2 there last season.
