MILWAUKEE — Steve Nash will not play on the Lakers’ brief road trip, meaning the point-guard position will keep being manned by Kendall Marshall and swingman Kent Bazemore.

Nash did some individual work after the team’s shoot-around Thursday morning but said he would not return until next week.

It was unclear if he would take part in Sunday’s game against Phoenix. The Lakers play Thursday in Milwaukee and Friday in Minnesota before heading home.

Nash has played in only 11 games this season because of chronic back issues.

Bazemore was solid Tuesday against the Knicks, collecting 18 points and five assists as Marshall’s backup. He had eight points and eight assists in the previous game against Orlando.

Marshall has run hot and cold as a scorer (mostly cold lately) but remains a decent distributor.
