The Lakers won. Finally. Here are five takeaways from their 107-92 victory Sunday against Charlotte.

1) Kobe Bryant was much more balanced, taking 20 shots instead of 37 and adding four assists. Phil Jackson and his share-the-ball theory would approve. Bryant, though, made only seven shots and could still improve his accuracy this season (now 39.4% from the field).

2) This was the Jeremy Lin the Lakers hoped they would get when they acquired him from Houston: 21 points. Seven assists. Confident. Assertive. The key question — can he keep it up?

3) Everyone knows Ed Davis is the team’s best shot blocker. But few knew about his offense. He made all five of his shots Sunday and is shooting an impressive 71% this season (27 of 38).

4) Jordan Hill had seven assists. Seven assists? Seven assists. Career-high for him.

5) The Lakers led by 17, an almost surprising edge for a team that lost its first five games by an average of 14.8 points. Keep in mind: Charlotte is now 3-4. The Lakers’ next opponent, Memphis, is 6-1.
