Update: The Galaxy will play its second non-MLS matchup in a week and a half when Real Madrid comes to the Home Depot Center. For the third straight season, the squads will face off in Southern California. Last year, Real Madrid cruised to a 4-1 victory at the Coliseum, while in 2010, Real Madrid came back from a two-goal deficit to beat the Galaxy, 3-2, at the Rose Bowl. The nine-time European champions and winners of 32 Spanish La Liga titles are led by Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 64 goals last season. The Galaxy announced Tuesday that 27-year-old forward Chad Barrett would be loaned to a Norwegian team. After traveling to London to attend the start of the Olympics, David Beckham returned to training Wednesday and is expected to play against Real Madrid.
