L.A. Galaxy vs. Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Saturday
Where: Home Depot Center.
On the air: TV: KDOC, KWHY; Radio: 1150 AM, 1330 AM.
Records: Galaxy 12-11-4, Vancouver 10-10-7.
Record vs. Vancouver: 1-0-1.
Update: The Galaxy, which has lost just three times in its last 14 MLS games, hopes to continue its climb up the Western Conference standings with a win Saturday over Vancouver, another team with postseason ambitions. But the Whitecaps have hit the skids lately, losing three in a row and four of their last five. As a result, the Galaxy entered the weekend fourth in the conference standings, three points ahead of Vancouver and three points behind second-place Seattle. The Galaxy, which will be playing for the fourth time in 10 days, has been winning with defense, allowing just one goal in its last three MLS games. Captain Landon Donovan has played in just one of those, however, and he isn’t expected to return Saturday because of a strained left hamstring.
