New information — and a smiling mugshot — emerge from the Draymond Green arrest

So how did Draymond Green look after his arrest outside a bar in East Lansing, Mich., over the weekend?

Angry? After all, he allegedly hit 22-year-old Michigan State cornerback Jermaine Edmondson during a confrontation early Sunday morning.

Or maybe sad? A police report obtained by TMZ stated that Green admitted to slapping Edmondson outside Conrad’s bar during the arrest, saying "he was sorry" and "wanted to speak with him to make things right."

Nope, neither of those. Green looks cheerful – jovial, even – in the police mugshot that became public on Wednesday. Check it out:

"My legal team is handling it. It will be resolved really quickly," Green said of the incident in a statement to reporters Wednesday morning. "As a public figure, I just can't put myself in certain situations. It's something that I'll learn from and just move on."

According to the police report, ill will between the two men started at a different club the night before, when Edmondson called out Green for not saying “excuse me” after bumping into him and his girlfriend.

Green allegedly responded by saying things like, “Do you know who I am?" Then, Edmondon said, two of Green’s associate choked him and his girlfriend.

Nonetheless, the pair didn’t contact police and returned to the bar the following night. Edmondson said he told Green, "last night wasn't cool" and Green reacted by poking him in the shoulder.

When he told Green to remove his hand, "boom I'm punched in my jaw," said Edmondson, who added that he did not retaliate.

The police report contains lots more new information about the incident, including that "the sound of the slap was very loud," according to one of the two police officers who witnessed it, and that Green had a .10% blood alcohol level at the time of his arrest.
