Clippers’ Blake Griffin named NBA Western Conference player of the month
Clippers All-Star forward Blake Griffin was named the Western Conference player of the month for February by the NBA Wednesday.
Griffin averaged 30.0 points and 10.7 rebounds during the month, and he was one of only two players in the league to average at least 30 points and 10 rebounds.
He had eight double-doubles of points and rebounds during the month. Griffin also extended his career-best streak of at least 20 points in a game to 19 games.
On Feb. 5, in a 116-112 loss to the Miami Heat, Griffin scored 43 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and handed out six assists.
Miami forward LeBron James was named the Eastern Conference player of the month.
