Watch Raptors fan Drake help force the Bulls into a five-second violation

Share

Drake took full advantage of his courtside seat Monday when the Toronto Raptors hosted the Chicago Bulls at Air Canada Centre.

With 25.8 seconds remaining and Chicago clinging to a 106-103 lead, Bulls guard Justin Holiday was trying to inbound the ball with the superstar rapper standing right behind him and talking right into his ear.

Drake kept on chattering until Holiday was called for a five-second violation (obviously much credit goes to the Toronto defense as well), which drew an enthusiastic cheer from the “Hotline Bling” singer.

The Raptors were able to pull to within one twice before the end of the game but ended up losing, 109-107.

Hard to tell exactly what Drake was saying to Holiday. Maybe just some lyrics to “Jumpman” or “Summer Sixteen.” Or maybe it was the theme to “Degrassi: The Next Generation” -- perhaps fond memories of Drake as a child actor were enough to occupy Holiday’s mind for those five seconds.
