Pro surfer Jill Hansen was arrested last Wednesday and has been charged with attempted murder after being accused of hitting a 73-year-old woman with her car in Waikiki, Hawaii.

In what police are describing as a road rage incident, Hansen, 30, allegedly followed Elizabeth Conklin to her condo and ran over her after Conklin exited her car. Witnesses say Hansen then reversed to attempt to hit Conklin a second time.

Conklin, 73, told ABC News she doesn’t remember the incident.

“I parked in my normal parking place, and I got out and all of a sudden I woke up in an ambulance,” Conklin said.

Conklin said a witness saw the incident and broke Hansen’s rear window when she appeared to prepare to hit Conklin again.

“He saw her in her car getting ready to hit me again. He totally saved my life,” Conklin said.

Bail for Hansen has been set at $1 million.
