If Andy Dalton was snubbed, which QB should’ve been left off Pro Bowl roster? [Poll]

Pro Bowl selections are in, and Andy Dalton was left out.

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback seems to be a consensus pick as a Pro Bowl "snub" this year -- that is, someone the general public thinks deserved such an honor but didn't receive it.

Funny thing is, last year Dalton did go to the Pro Bowl and was seen by many as undeserving. He was the 13th quarterback asked after several others backed out because of injuries and other reasons.

But this season is a different story. He hasn't played (and may not for the rest of the season) since breaking his thumb against Pittsburgh on Dec. 13. But the Bengals were 10-2 going into that game, and Dalton is viewed as a big reason why.

So even if he is unable to play in the Pro Bowl, Dalton still seems worthy of the honor of being invited. But, of course, that means one of the six quarterbacks who were selected -- Tom Brady, Cam Newton, Carson Palmer, Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger and Russell Wilson -- would have to be left out in his place.

But which one? Remember AFC/NFC doesn't matter anymore since the Pro Bowl teams are now chosen fantasy style. Let's look at some key statistical categories -- passer rating, yards per game, touchdowns, interceptions and completion percentage.

Out of this group of seven quarterbacks, Dalton does not rank last in any of the categories. He's sixth in touchdowns -- ahead of Roethlisberger, who missed four games due to injury -- and fifth in yards per game -- ahead of Newton and Rodgers, both of whom have played every game this season.

Dalton's best ranking in any of the categories among these seven quarterbacks is third, and he does so in passer rating, completion percentage and interceptions.

Within this group of players, Rodgers is tied with Brady for fewest interceptions thrown, but ranks sixth in completion percentage and last in passer rating and yards per game. Roethlisberger leads this group (and the NFL) in yards per game but has thrown fewer touchdown passes and more interceptions than any of the others.

Of course, stats are only one consideration. All seven of these quarterbacks have led their teams to terrific seasons. But the players, coaches and fans who voted on the Pro Bowl ended up choosing the other six over Dalton. What would you have done?
