Tiger Woods ready for return to golf

Wednesday pro-ams don’t usually make headlines, but when it comes to Tiger Woods, everything is big news.
The former No. 1 player came off the course after 18 holes of warmup golf expressing confidence about returning to competition for the first time since August.
“I’m starting to get my power back. I’m starting to get my speed back,” he told reporters. “And that’s been nice.”
Woods is making his return at this week’s Hero World Challenge, an 18-player event that benefits his charity foundation, and will play beside Jason Day on Thursday.
After undergoing back surgery in the spring, he suffered through a difficult summer before pulling himself off the PGA Tour for more recuperation. This week marks the unveiling of a new and ongoing revamp in his game with consultant Chris Como.
At Isleworth Golf & Country Club on Wednesday, he shot two under par and looked a little taller and freer in his swing.
