Tom Brady’s pregame Facebook post backfires, and Broncos let him know about it

Tom Brady had plenty of confidence going into New England's "Sunday Night Football" game against Denver. And for good reason.

Practically three months into the season, no one had figured out a way to beat the Patriots. Another 16-0 season was looking more and more likely. Brady had been looking like the MVP candidate to beat.

And the New England quarterback's career arch-rival, Peyton Manning, would be on the Broncos sideline, with Brock Osweiler making only his second career start in his place.

So Brady must have been feeling pretty good before the game Sunday evening when he posted this on Facebook:

That's an image of Brady riding an orange-and-blue cartoon version of a bronco.

But things didn't quite turn out that way. Brady played well, throwing for 280 yards and three touchdown passes. But the Broncos forced overtime, when the Patriots went three-and-out on the first possession and Denver scored on a 48-yard run by C.J. Anderson for a 30-24 victory.

So the Broncos must have felt pretty good after the game Sunday night when they posted this on Facebook:

That's an image of Brady lying on the ground, apparently after falling off the same cartoon bronco.
