There wasn’t much question about David Brown’s expectations for the 2015 Paralympic world championships.

“Double gold,” he said.

The fastest blind sprinter in history made good on half of that goal last week with a victory in the 100 meters and will go for the rest on Wednesday in the 200.

The Missouri native and his sighted guide, Jerome Avery, arrived in Doha, Qatar, as the favored duo in the sprints.

The championships are scheduled to continue through Saturday.
