USC opens its 2014 season Aug. 30 against Fresno State, one of six home games in a 12-game regular-season schedule, the school announced Wednesday.
The Trojans, under new Coach Steve Sarkisian, play at the Coliseum against Fresno State, Oregon State, Arizona State, Colorado, California and Notre Dame. USC will be on the road at Stanford, Boston College, Arizona, Utah, Washington State and UCLA.
The Trojans do not play Oregon or Washington for the second consecutive season because of the Pac-12 Conference’s scheduling rotation.
Kickoff times and television broadcast plans are to be determined.
USC defeated Fresno State, 45-20, on Dec. 21 in the Las Vegas Bowl. This will mark the first time since the 1916 finale and the 1917 opener that USC will play the same team consecutively, USC said.
USC opens Pac-12 Conference play on Sept. 6 at Stanford.
The Trojans play the next week at Boston College in USC’s first visit since 1988.
USC has an open date before playing Oregon State on Sept. 27 and then Arizona State Oct. 4.
USC is at Arizona Oct. 11, hosts Colorado Oct. 18 and then plays at Utah and Washington State before its second open date.
USC plays host to Cal on Thursday, Nov. 13. The Trojans play UCLA at the Rose Bowl on Nov. 22 and then conclude the season against Notre Dame Nov. 29.
