Former USC commit Amari Rodgers, son of Tee Martin, commits to Clemson

Receiver Amari Rodgers, the son of USC offensive coordinator Tee Martin, announced his commitment to Clemson on Sunday.

The 2017 recruit committed to USC last June after he participated in the Rising Stars Camp, but announced six months later that he would withdraw his commitment. Rodgers said at the time that Martin’s coaching status at USC did not have an impact on his decision.

Rodgers, of Knoxville Catholic High in Tennessee, chose the Tigers over Alabama, Florida State, Tennessee and Wake Forest.

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound Rodgers is considered a four-star recruit by several recruiting sites.

Four players have committed to USC’s 2017 class, including receiver Marlon Williams of McGill-Toolen in Mobile, Ala., running back Stephen Carr of Fontana Summit, safety Bubba Bolden of Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas and defensive back Thomas Graham of Rancho Cucamonga.
