USC hosts Lafayette on Wednesday night

Update: The Trojans (10-2), off to their best start in 13 seasons, play their final nonconference game before opening Pac-12 Conference play against Washington State on Jan. 1. USC is coming off a 70-51 victory over Southern Illinois Edwardsville. Forward Nikola Jovanovic scored a season-high 21 points and had a season-high 16 rebounds. The junior has averaged 11.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. Junior guard Katin Reinhardt has averaged a team-best 12.8 points per game for the Trojans, who are expected to be without junior guard Julian Jacobs for the second consecutive game because of tendinitis in his left Achilles’ tendon. Lafayette (3-7) has not played since defeating Sacred Heart, 90-86, on Dec. 12. Junior guard Nick Linder has averaged 17.4 points a game, sophomore forward Matt Klinewski 15.2 points and 6.3 rebounds.
