Update: Both teams have three-game losing streaks. Kevin Thompson, a 6-foot-9, 250-pound senior forward, is averaging 12.7 points and 7.7 rebounds to lead the Bears in both categories. Forward DeWayne Jackson, a 6-8, 210-pound junior, averages 11.7 points. Morgan State, located in Baltimore and a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, has given up 82 points a game, and since USC is scoring only 54 a game, something will have to give. The Trojans’ point total in their most recent game, a 42-36 loss to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, was their lowest since losing, 40-35, in overtime to UCLA in 1967.
