Kyle Busch a winner again at Richmond

Kyle Busch capped a perfect weekend in Virginia on Saturday night by winning the spring NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Richmond for the fourth consecutive year.

The victory snaps a 22-race winless streak for Busch. It came a day after he went to Victory Lane for the first time as a Nationwide Series team owner, celebrating brother Kurt Busch’s Friday night win.

Busch beat Tony Stewart off pit road on the final stop of the race, which came after a caution for debris with 13 laps to go.

He then pulled away from Stewart on the restart with nine laps left and wasn’t challenged for the victory. Dale Earnhardt Jr. passed Stewart on the restart and finished second, Stewart was third.

Rafael Nadal, David Ferrer head to final

Six-time champion Rafael Nadal defeated Fernando Verdasco, 6-0, 6-4, Saturday to ease into the Barcelona Open final, where he will face fellow Spaniard David Ferrer for a fourth time.

Ferrer held off Milos Raonic’s powerful serve for a 7-6 (2), 7-6 (5) victory to give him a shot at his fourth title of the year.

Top-ranked Victoria Azarenka will face No. 2 Maria Sharapova in the final of the Porsche Grand Prix at Stuttgart, Germany.

Azarenka cruised past Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland, 6-1, 6-3, in the first semifinal Saturday, and Sharapova outlasted No. 3 Petra Kvitova, the Wimbledon champion, 6-4, 7-6 (3).

Jason Dufner shot a five-under 67 to take a two-shot lead over Graham DeLaet after three rounds of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Ernie Els and John Rollins are three shots back of Dufner, who enters the final round at 17 under and looking for his first PGA tour victory in 163 career starts.

Ryan Palmer tied the course record at Avondale, La., with an eight-under par 64 to lead a group of three players at 13 under.

Stacy Lewis birdied five of her last seven holes to shoot a five-under 67 and take a two-stroke lead over Brittany Lincicome into the final round of the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic in Alabama.

Lewis finished strong to hang onto her second-round lead. Karine Icher of France shot a 68 and is three strokes back while Sun Young Yoo and Lindsey Wright both had 69s and are at 10 under.

Bernd Wiesberger of Austria shot a second straight seven-under 65 to open up a five-shot lead after the third round of the Ballantine’s Championship at Seoul, South Korea.

Marcus Fraser of Australia was in second after a third-round 69, with England’s Oliver Fisher (67) and Chile’s Felipe Aguilar (68) one shot back in a tie for third.

The Detroit Tigers placed outfielder Delmon Young on the restricted list and said he would be evaluated under baseball’s employee assistance program after his arrest on a hate crime harassment charge for an encounter at his hotel during which police say he yelled anti-Semitic epithets.

Young was arraigned Friday and posted a $5,000 bond at a brief hearing in Manhattan court. He faces a misdemeanor aggravated harassment charge. If convicted, he could face up to a year in jail.

Team USA pulled off a clean sweep at the Penn Relays.

Allyson Felix ran on a pair of relay teams that set Penn Relays records on Saturday, and the United States was flawless in all six relays in the “U.S.A. vs. the World” races at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.

The women won the sprint medley relay, the 400-meter relay and the 1,600-meter relay. The men won the 400-meter relay, the distance medley relay and the 1,600-meter relay.

Felix, Tianna Madison, Bianca Knight and Carmelita Jeter set a Penn Relays record in the 400 with a time of 42.19 seconds. Felix, Francena McCorory, Natasha Hastings and Sanya Richards-Ross set the mark in the 1,600 with a time of 3 minutes 21.18 seconds.

The USC and UCLA men’s and women’s track teams square off in their annual dual meet on Sunday at UCLA’s Drake Stadium.

Field events start at 10 a.m., running events at 2 p.m.

UCLA’s men defeated the Trojans last season, but USC has won three of the last five dual meets.

Renaldo Woolridge, a 6-foot-9 forward who played at Tennessee, said he has signed with USC.

Woolridge, the son of former NBA player Orlando Woolridge, will graduate from Tennessee this summer and will be eligible to play the 2012-13 season for the Trojans, who were 6-26 last season.

Woolridge played at Studio City Harvard-Westlake High. He averaged 4.3 points and 3.3 rebounds last season at Tennessee.

USC senior Steve Johnson won his 60th consecutive singles match, clinching the firstPac-12 men’s team championship for the Trojans with a 4-2 win over UCLA at the 112th annual Ojai Valley Tennis Tournament.

Johnson defeated UCLA’s top player, Nick Meister, 3-6, 6-1, 6-2. The Trojans (27-1) won the doubles point for the 1-0 lead and also got wins from Daniel Nguyen and Emilio Gomez. Clay Thompson and Dennis Mkrtchian registered singles victories for the Bruins (22-3) at No. 2 and No. 6, respectively.
