Halloween came early for coaches at USC.

Interim Coach Clay Helton said Thursday that the staff gathered on campus last weekend to celebrate with their families.

Helton dressed as Darth Vader and receivers coach Tee Martin was Spider-Man.

“We decorated all the doors and had all our kids up here and trick-or-treated,” Helton said.

USC kicks off against California at noon on Saturday. It will be the Trojans’ 13th time playing on Halloween.

“We are going to have some great barbecue when we hit the ground tomorrow and get [players] to bed early and get up, play a game and get back home and let them celebrate Halloween on their own,” Helton said.
