USC cornerback Kevon Seymour suffered a high-ankle sprain this week and is “50-50 at best” for the Holiday Bowl against Wisconsin, Coach Clay Helton said Wednesday.

Seymour, a senior, opened the season as a starter opposite sophomore Adoree’ Jackson but suffered a knee injury and was supplanted as a starter by freshman Iman Marshall.

Marshall, a Freshman All-American, has intercepted three passes.

Jackson has intercepted one, which he returned 46 yards for a touchdown.

Seymour, who also plays on special teams, has one interception.

The Trojans are off Thursday and Friday and will travel to San Diego on Saturday. The Trojans will have three practices before next Wednesday’s game at Qualcomm Stadium.
