Keyshawn Johnson is not ‘jumping for joy’ over USC

Former Trojans’ All-American Keyshawn Johnson thinks so, but he said he would give it more time.

“I’m not jumping for joy,” Johnson said Wednesday during an appearance on Colin Cowherd’s national ESPN radio show.

USC is 4-2, 3-1 in the Pac-12 Conference.

Johnson graded the Trojans a “C” and said that the team was on the “verge of becoming a C-minus.”

The Trojans were favored before losses to Boston College and Arizona State, and also before they defeated Arizona, 28-26.

USC “barely survived,” Johnson said.

Johnson said NCAA sanctions and a lack of depth should not be used as an excuse when the team plays backups.

“When I hear that, I just snicker and say ‘Oh god’,” Johnson said.

Johnson said he would watch the rest of the season – including games against Utah, UCLA and Notre Dame -- before he would come to a decision on the Sarkisian-coached Trojans.
