For the first time in three years, USC has a class of 25 scholarships available.

The program was limited to 15 scholarships in each of the last three years because of NCAA sanctions, which ended in June.

Coach Steve Sarkisian finished strong last February and landed an inaugural class that included Juju Smith, Adoree’ Jackson and Damien Mama. Sarkisian is wasting no time lining up the next one.

Two scholarships have been guaranteed and 23 remain.

Ventura St. Bonaventure High quarterback Ricky Town signed a financial-aid agreement in August, guaranteeing him a scholarship. Kicker Matt Boermeester, a transfer from Saddleback College, also received a scholarship as a blue-shirt recruit. He is on the roster this season.

Sarkisian has received commitments from 14 other high school seniors and a junior college player, which leaves room for eight more commitments.
