USC tailback Tre Madden participated in limited drills during Tuesday’s practice.

Madden, who leads the team in rushing, suffered a calf injury in last week’s loss to Stanford.

“I’ve been feeling better everyday and am just looking forward to getting back on the field,” he said.

Madden rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown in nine carries against the Cardinal.

“The offensive line had great push and me and JD, Justin Davis, we were running pretty physical and had great wide receiver blocking down field,” Madden said.

USC is set to play its first Pac-12 Conference South division game on Saturday at Arizona State.

The Trojans have lost three of their last four games against the Sun Devils.

“[We] definitely have to establish the run going on the road and silence the crowd, especially on special teams, by making big plays and getting turnovers,” Madden said.
