I scream, you scream, we all scream for -- shaved ice.

USC Coach Steve Sarkisian treated players to flavored shaved ice after Saturday’s practice on Brian Kennedy-Howard Jones Field, where the temperature hovered in the 90s.

Several players said they were accustomed to the heat. Others, however, altered their practice uniforms in an attempt to stay cool.

Tailback Justin Davis remain sidelined because of a hamstring injury, while offensive lineman Viane Talamaivao, who also has been nursing a sore hamstring, returned to limited drills.

Cornerback Kevon Seymour hobbled to the trainer’s table shortly after practice began and remained sidelined for the duration. Sarkisian said, through a spokesperson, that Seymour’s injury was not serious.

The Trojans return to practice, which is open to the public, on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. PDT.
