Eye candy for you luggage

Super-sized luggage tags in flashy neon colors are beginning to make a splash on airport conveyor belts. The bag tags were created by New Englander Jane Ehrlich, who got frustrated trying to spot her black bag amid the sea of black on luggage carousels.

“It’s all too easy to lose your bag to someone who walks away with it accidentally,” she says. Her solution: a tag so wildly colored and boldly graphic that no one could miss it.

Each tag, which is about the size of a Polaroid photo, is waterproof and fireproof. The retro designs feature beach girls, animals, martinis and travel themes. Ehrlich’s best seller is lime green and features a drawing of high-heel shoes: “The journey of a thousand miles begins with cute shoes,” reads the label. She also does well with a ruby-colored tag decorated with shoes and the legend: “We’re not in Kansas anymore.”
