Deal: $149 rooms for a four-night stay at Torrey Pines resort in La Jolla

The Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines in La Jolla has a fourth-night-free offer that makes a quick getaway to this coastal resort more affordable — starting at $149 a night.

The deal: This Hilton has almost 400 rooms and overlooks the Torrey Pines Golf Course. You’re not far from the ocean and other parts of La Jolla too.

The fourth-night-free offer takes about 25% off the hotel’s best available rates. You have to stay four nights to snag rooms starting at $149 a night, excluding resort fees and taxes.

When: You must reserve by June 30 for stays through August, based on availability.

Tested: I checked the hotel’s website and found availability from May 19 to 23 for a room with one king-sized bed. Price is $134 a night with the discount (lower than the advertised rate) plus tax and $27 a night resort fee.

The fee, by the way, covers free Wi-Fi, unlimited access to tennis and sports courts and the resort’s sports center, and other amenities and discounts.

Standard price for the same room on the same dates starts at $175 a night, plus resort fee and taxes.
