Holland America’s ms Koningsdam will have a whole lot of music going on when it makes its debut in April 2016.

The cruise line announced partnerships for on-board entertainment area called Music Walk with very different entities: Billboard music magazine and the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City, according to statements.

Music Walk will feature live music -- two pianists, guitarist and a DJ -- to perform nightly shows. Billboard provides the fun music facts and figures for trivia questions that pop up on screens in the room so passengers can play along.

The Lincoln Center Stage brings chamber musicians to the ship for afternoon and evening concerts at Music Walk. In addition to being part of the ms Koningsdam, the Lincoln Center Stage will debut on the ms Eurodam next January and on the ms Oosterdam in April 2016.

And for a bit of R&B and soul, the Koningsdam also will feature B.B. King’s Blues Club. An eight-piece B.B. King All-Star Band will perform six nights a week in the Queen’s Lounge, a statement says. It too will be part of the Music Walk attraction.

In addition, Holland America unveiled plans for a new main theater design on the ms Koningsdam in which the audience is surrounded by high-definition, panoramic screens.

The World Stage, as it’s called, will measure two stories high and 250 feet long, and allow different stage configurations depending on the performance.
