Gear: This chameleon of baby equipment is a bassinet, a bouncy seat and more

Share

The folks at Graco are continuously tinkering with ways to engineer multiuse baby gear that folds into one portable pack. The latest innovation: the Pack ‘n’ Play Playard Snuggle Suite LX, which has individual components that stack and nestle atop other components.

Each component can be used independently elsewhere, depending on the needs and age of the child. On the top layer is a removable infant soothing seat, with a three-point harness and light-shielding canopy. The infant seat doubles as a bouncer (for babies up to 18 pounds), with built-in two-speed vibration.

Nestled next to the infant seat is a removable roomy padded changing station made of wipe-clean fabrics, for little ones up to 30 pounds.

Alongside the changing station is a built-in three-section organizer for diapers, wipes, a change of clothes and other essentials.

Lift out the infant seat and changing station, and behold a cozy bassinet (for babies up to 15 pounds) secured to and floating above the Snuggle Suite’s biggest space -- a secure play “yard” for toddlers up to 35 inches tall, with a push-button folding mechanism. Netting all the way around supports air flow and reciprocal visibility for child and caregiver.

Info: The Snuggle Suite LX weighs about 35 pounds and costs about $220.
