Hawaii: On Kauai, you can head off into the sunset on golf cart tour
- Share via
Some of Hawaii’s most stunning scenery is now viewable from the ease and comfort of a golf cart above Hanalei Bay on Kauai.
The Princeville Makai Golf Club offers some drop-dead-gorgeous views previously available only to golfers.
Beginning at 5 p.m. daily, non-golfers can enjoy a Sunset Golf Cart Tour. For $40, two people can climb aboard an electric 2014 Club Car Prestige to meander along the island’s north coast at their leisure.
The tour is intended to last about 90 minutes.
Information is provided as to the best vantage points from which to capture photos and make memories.
In 2011, National Geographic Traveler magazine named the Makai course one of the “Top 5 Great Golf Settings in the U.S.” Many moviegoers were first exposed to the area’s beauty in the 1958 movie “South Pacific,” for which Kauai’s north coast was transformed into the fictional Bali Hai.
