Go back to school with Glendale Community College, which is offering a Rome-based travel-study program this winter.
Participants can choose a film course that explores how Italian culture has been depicted in the movies, or an art history course and visit museums and historical sites with their professor.
The Rome-based program includes a four-day excursion to Assisi and the Basilica di San Francesco, Florence and the Doumo, and Pisa and its cathedral and Leaning Tower. There’s also plenty of free time to explore on your own.
Dates: Jan. 10-Feb. 4
Price: $2,995 per person, double occupancy. Includes daily breakfast; 21 nights’ accommodations in an apartment near the Vatican; three nights in a hotel in Florence; transportation to Assisi, Florence and Pisa; Rome metro pass and visits to historical sites and museums. Airfare and college fees not included.
Info: Glendale Community College, (818) 240-1000 Ext. 5718
