Tickets on sale for ‘Terra Cotta Warriors’ at Bowers
Tickets are now on sale for one of the largest-ever displays of the life-size terra-cotta figures of soldiers and other servants found buried with China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang.
The figures, dating from the 3rd century BC, will be in the exhibit “Terra Cotta Warriors: Guardians of China’s First Emperor,” which opens next year at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana. It will run May 18 through Oct. 12, 2008.
Besides 20 complete statues of soldiers, the exhibit will also feature more than 100 objects, including two half-size bronze chariots and life-size bronze animal figures that were found in the emperor’s tomb.
The price of the timed, dated exhibit tickets, which includes museum admission, is $20 on weekdays and $22 on weekends for adults, and $14 on weekdays and $16 on weekends for students and seniors ages 62 and older. Children 6 and under get in free. Those prices apply if you buy the tickets in person at the museum, 2002 N. Main St., Santa Ana.
If you buy them through Ticketmaster, by calling (877) 250-8999 or visiting www.museumtix.com, there will be additional fees. Prices are $30 on weekends and $25 on weekdays for adults.
The tickets to the terra-cotta show will include museum admission.
