Las Vegas electronica: Don’t miss a beat at these homes to deep house

Share
Special to the Los Angeles Times

Soulkitchen at the Red Room Saloon is not the only electronic soundscape playing in Vegas. Some other parties where deep house music is playing:

Back2Back, Jet, inside Mirage, 3400 S. Las Vegas Blvd.; (702) 693-8300

DJs/Dates: Benny Benassi, April 26; Armand Van Helden, May 3

Cover charge: Call for prices.

Doors open: 10:30 p.m.

Web site: www.lightgroup.com

Vibe: Screens dotting the ceiling in the large circular main room display all manner of images that react to the sound booming from the speakers. Aan ideal venue to catch Italian DJ Bennassi (in his first Vegas appearance) and the brutal bass of VanHelden (whose bass will play in your mind long after the music has stopped). Remember: The house room, though much smaller than the main one, is always bumping electronica. Stop by on a Monday night, when it’s filled with locals.
