Vacation homes, hotels and motels near California’s Yosemite National Park are offering a little relief from the high cost of gas: Cards worth $10 to $50 to help guests fuel up. Different rules apply to each deal. It’s worth perusing the list before you plan a summer road trip.

The deal: Go to the Visit Madera County website and click on “Special Deals” in the upper right-hand corner to see a list of participating businesses. Many offer a $10 gas card or $10 taken off the nightly rate.

One of the offers is from the Madera Valley Inn, about an hour from Yosemite and Sequoia/Kings Canyon national parks. Its $25 gift card can be redeemed for gas by guests who stay at least three nights.

When: The Madera Valley Inn offer doesn’t list a cutoff date, but it’s based on availability. Other offers have different expiration dates and requirements.

Tested: I visited the inn’s website to check availability. I found a room for $70 plus tax a night from June 13 to 16 that comes with a king-sized bed, mini-fridge, microwave, high-speed Internet and continental breakfast. In this deal, the three nights don’t have to be consecutive to receive the $25 gift card. The inn is at 317 N. G St. in Madera, Calif.; (559) 664-0100
