Alaska: See glaciers, fiords, whales and more in less than a week
- Share via
Five days hardly seems long enough to explore Alaska’s Prince William Sound, but adventure travel company Greenloons offers a tour that hits the glacier and fiord highlights for those short on time.
The trip begins in Anchorage at a bed-and-breakfast that comes with access to hiking and biking along the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. Then it’s off to Whittier and two nights aboard a 65-food yacht to cruise the Barry Arm and visit the Harriman and College fiords, Eaglek Bay and Cascade Falls. Days are spent viewing wildlife like whales, otter and tufted puffins; exploring the rain forest on foot; and kayaking to coves and inlets.
When: Trips depart June 13, July 2 and 24, Aug. 19 and 27.
Price: $2,200 per person, double occupancy. It includes B&B and yacht stays, land transportation, many meals, guides and more. Airfare is extra.
