Travel gear: A different style of travel pillow, at a discount

On most airplanes, coach and comfort usually part ways, so sleep-seekers are always on the lookout for the perfect travel pillow. The pillows come in all shapes and sizes, but here’s one with a long, vertical design that’s a bit different from the others -- and it’s on sale, too.

The deal: The EZ Sleep Travel Pillow measures 21-by-12-by-2 inches when inflated and can be used on train, bus or plane seats. It attaches to the armrest and forms a kind of inflatable curtain between you and your seat mate. It’s on sale for $20.97 (usually $29.95), excluding tax and shipping.

When: The offer is based on availability.

Tested: I haven’t tried out this travel pillow but would love to hear from anyone who has. The design seems as though it would provide a soft surface for sleeping and could keep you from flopping onto your neighbor’s shoulder.

I’m no travel pillow expert (and I have long shunned the toilet-seat-shaped pillows that go around your neck). Consumersearch.com provides these travel and neck pillow tips, though it doesn’t review the EZ Sleep style. It does, however, recommend inflatable pillows for easy packing and it says you should test the pillow in a car or bus before an airplane ride.
